Al is an Irish photographer working across food and drink, food culture, craft and portraits.
Both his personal and commissioned work looks at the culture around food and drink; where what we are consuming is coming from, how it's being made and where it ends up and why. Al’s personal work follows a similar focus, finding a vision and familiarity in the unfamiliar, whether that be how chefs feed themselves, documenting and preserving traditions and looking to the future of food and drink.
His worked has featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Irish Times, Vogue, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Financial Times, Huck Magazine and his clients include Google, Intercom, BMW, Land Rover, Jameson Whiskey, Redbreast Whiskey, Brown Foreman, Heineken, Aer Lingus and Square.
